Vectusem Powder P
A shelf-life extension agent for use in meat brining solution such as Hams and Bacon and chickens. Vectusem P is an effective anti-microbial agent and is used where a longer shelf life of brined products is required. It is also an effective pathogen control such as the control of Listeria monocytogenes growth, thereby increasing food safety. The product contains no Nitrates or Nitrites and is micro-biome friendly.
A blend of organic acids (Sodium Lactate, Sodium Acetate, Sodium Diacetate), Sodium Chloride, Non-Sodium Salts and Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate (ELA).
It is supplied as a free-flowing powder in a 10kg LDPE bag
The addition rate is 0.5% of the total meat mass (500g of powder per 100kg of meat). The powder should be dissolved into the brining liquid before injecting into the meat.
Ingredients are all listed in the WHO Codex Alimentarius for use in meat. All ingredients have USA GRAS status (Generally Regarded as Safe). Please consult your own country’s regulation for ingredient compliance.

Vectusem Powder P is stable for 24 months from date of production. The product should be stored in a cool dry and clean environment, out of direct sunlight.
