
Vectusem Powder C01
Vectusem C01 is a microbial control additive and water activity modulator that is highly effective for the controlling and reduction of a range of bacteria, food pathogens and mould that occur in biltong, beef jerky and dried sausage products, resulting in significant product shelf-life extension as well as improved taste. It also acts as a yield improver; whereby dried meats can retain a higher moisture level without compromising shelf life. The product contains no Nitrates or Nitrites and is micro-biome friendly.
Ingredients
A blend of organic acids (Sodium Lactate, Sodium Acetate, Sodium Diacetate), Sodium Chloride, Non-Sodium Salts and Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate (ELA) and Pimaricin.
Packaging
It is supplied as a free-flowing powder in a 10kg LDPE bag
Usage Guideline
The addition rate is 0.5% of the total meat mass (500g of powder per 100kg of wet meat).
If Dry rub method is used, then add Vectusem C01 to the spice Rub
If A wet OR smoked method is used, then add Vectusem C01 to the marinade, ensuring that it is fully dissolved.

Stability
Vectusem Powder W04 is stable for 24 months from date of production. The product should be stored in a cool dry and clean environment, out of direct sunlight.
